Norwegian Ship to Sail Progressive Rock Cruise in 2024

Making its comeback from March 8-13, 2024, the world’s premier progressive rock experience at sea, Cruise to the Edge, will sail its biggest cruise ever onboard the Jewel-class Norwegian Pearl, operated by Norwegian Cruise Line. The five-night charter cruise will depart from Miami, Florida, and make stops in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.

Cruise to the Edge (CTTE ’24), the world’s premier progressive rock experience at sea, has announced it will cruise its eighth voyage departing from Miami, Florida on March 8, 2024, as a chartered sailing onboard the 2,394-passenger Norwegian Pearl.

As its biggest sailing ever, the five-night charter cruise will take place from March 8-13, 2024, visiting Ocho Rios and George Town with an array of events and days of performances from some of the world’s greatest progressive rock artists.

Prog legends Marillion, Steve Hackett, Flying Colors, and for the first time, Big Big Train will headline the cruise alongside official cruise hosts official Jon Kirkman and Roie Avin, moderating Question and Answer programming and activities.

Returning acts during this character experience will include Adrian Belew, Martin Barre, The Flower Kings, Hacken, Wishbone Ash, Klone, Protocol, Queensrÿche, PFM, Airbag, and Baraka.

With additional artists to be announced in the coming months, legendary progressive metal group Symphony X will make an appearance as a newcomer alongside Gryphon, Lonely Robot, and Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin.

Cruise to the Edge 2024 will represent the eighth progressive rock cruise charter for the company, which continues to showcase classic progressive and progressive metal artists spanning five decades.

Available for public booking on November 21, guests can rock out at sea with music-filled days onboard featuring staterooms that start at $1,397.00 per person at double occupancy.

The Itinerary Breakdown

CTTE ’24 will be filled with entertainment experiences for its guests, including artist/cruiser photo options, Q&A sessions, special theme nights, and other events designed to optimize the fan experience.

Making a comeback, the CTTE Late Night LIVE Progressive Experience will be offered to guests allowing fans to sign up to showcase their own musical talents in four different performance scenarios with options: Late Night Live Pro Jam, Artist’s Choice, The Main Event, and Overtime Jam.

Guests booking this itinerary can take advantage of the 93,530 gross-ton Norwegian Pearl’s shore excursion options with over 40 offerings in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, from exploring Dunn’s River Falls to swimming with the dolphins.

While in George Town, Grand Cayman, guests will be able to explore via the ship’s over ten different excursion options from visiting duty-free shops to snorkeling and exploring the USS Kittiwake Sunken Ship.
